High energy fun

High energy fun is designed to capture that spontaneous behavior typical of children who are playful and sometimes silly, or teenagers when "goofing off" together. Simple, frivolous, and sensual pleasures make us feel alive, and they are often sorely lacking in our busy, dutiful lives. Let your imagination be your guide.

Old West: Water pistol fight.

Leap Frog: Around the room at least five times.

Suck and blow: With a credit card sized and shaped object, and your lips about half inch apart, one sucks and other blows trying to keep the object touching the "sucker." On cue, switch to reverse roles of sucker and blower without using hands to keep object from dropping. Can you do six switches?

Sock fight: Each take an equal number of socks and have a throwing war until someone is hit at least five times.

Bicycle built for two: Each lie on back, feet touching other's feet. Pedal in unison.

Book end stand up: Sit on floor back to back, stand up together without using hands.

Mirror motions of partner: Be dramatic and energetic.

Elephant fight: Each hold nose with one hand, put other arm through loop and try to tickle or disarm the other "elephant."

California couple: Each lead the other in two minutes of aerobic motions.

Quick change: Put on each other's clothes in two minutes; then change back

Making faces: One partner makes an awful face while jumping up and down. Other partner tries to mimic - face and jump. Then switch roles. Try about five each.

Patty cake: Learn it well and then do it with your eyes closed.

Can you top this: One person starts an action, the partner mimics and adds an action; The first partner then mimics the second and adds more. The actions and mimics pass back and forth between partners until ...

Dancing: Learn some simple dance steps from waltz, cha-cha, rhumba, salsa, etc. and dance together for a few moments.

Animal noises and motions: One pretends to be some animal. Other guesses.

Play keep away with Kleenex: Partners stand facing each other about a foot apart. One holds a Kleenex in hand and strives to keep the other from grabbing it. Other tries to grab it. Neither partner may move feet or touch other partner.

Speak in gibberish: babble mindlessly .

Stand in front of mirror: make faces at yourselves until you laugh.

Play tag: Chase each other until exhausted.

Spin around like a dervish until you're dizzy. Do it with partner by holding hands, placing feet close together and spin rapidly in a circle.

Tickle one another.

Watch comedies together.

Play dress up. Get box of old clothes, say from Salvation Army, dress up silly. Maybe just stick to silly hats - easy to do.

Speak to each other in funny voices: using a pretend accent, or speech mannerisms.

Face paint each other's faces.

Draw make-believe tattoos on partner or self. The dumber the better.
